About the speakers: 

Paul Claflin is a Supervisory Special Agent assigned to the Denver Field Division for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives. Special Agent Claflin is an ATF Certified Fire Investigator, IAAI Certified Fire Investigator, and former ATF National Response Team supervisor. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Service Management from Western Oregon University, a degree in Fire Science Technology from Casper College, and a Master of Forensic Science – Arson and Explosion Investigations degree from Oklahoma State University.

Brian Blauser joined the FBI in July 2004 as a Special Agent. Brian currently serves as the Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) of the Complex Financial Crimes Squad in Denver, CO, which handles investigations into securities/investment fraud, frauds and swindles, health care fraud, intellectual property rights matters, and money laundering investigations. Before becoming the SSA, he spent most of his 19 years as an Agent investigating complex financial and cyber crimes. From 2012 – 2014, Brian also served as an SSA in the Economic Crimes Unit at FBI HQ in Washington D.C. Brian graduated from “THE” University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 1997 with a B.S. in Business Administration with an accounting emphasis. After graduation, Brian worked as an Auditor with Deloitte in Omaha, NE, where he obtained his CPA certification.
